I am a big fan of Christmas.  I like the carols, the decorations, the food, the merriment, the presents, and the tree.  Best of all, I like the manner in which the Christmas season makes everyone just a little bit nicer.  In fact, I would say that kindness and generosity rule during the Christmas season.

I believe the whole world needs Christmas, and I know for sure that America needs Christmas!   In a time that United States is more divided than any other time in our history, except perhaps during the Civil War, we REALLY need Christmas. 

My Christmas list: I hope the Christmas season can help all to put aside their differences and work toward resolution.  I hope that some vacation time can help those who are stressed to the breaking point.  I hope families can celebrate together without drama.  I hope all in your lives is peaceful, and that love surrounds you.

I LOVE writing. And I love writing children's books- my newest passion. Although it will be a ton of work, I am looking forward to selling my books.  Since I was a secondary teacher, I know that I have much to learn about elementary students, and I will have to follow my own advice and be my genuine self.  However, I also know that I am passionate about helping kids who have to wear glasses, and that GRADY GETS GLASSES sends a positive message. I am willing to work hard and do all the things that also made me a successful teacher for 37 years. I remain inspired!
